Satan gets back one of his own; Falwell dies and goes to hell

God smites Falwell! Thank you, Jesus!
(it’s about time).
I cannot think of anyone since World War II who has done more to propagate hatred, bigotry and intolerance than Jerry Falwell.
Falwell showed the right how to play on the fears of ignorant and the faith of the believers to advance a credo of greed and hate. Falwell showed the way to making tolerance a sin and forgiveness a weakness. That Republicans gave him so much truck goes to prove how low the Reaganites and neocons were willing to go turn power and the nation’s wealth over to the rich and feckless.
There are many in line to take Falwell’s place of false prophet and hate mongering. There already are others speaking up to blames the ills, disasters and miseries of our time on the innocent, meek and undeserving – totally discounting any evidence to the contrary.
There is no hell vile enough, horrific or punishing enough to give Jerry Falwell a true accounting for his sins.
May all that he built soon follow him to the grave.
Amen.
