If, and I believe it is very possible, the Gonzales “no confidence” vote fails, how many howls will be heard against the Democrats?
Will they be jeered by the anti-Gonzales for failing to succeed or will they be cheered for succeeding in trying?
With a fragile majority in what amounts to a nonsensical vote, they easily can go down in flames.
I wonder if they will draw fire from extremists on both sides?
The vote itself amounts to no more than a tweaking of the tail.
However, the Democratic leadership seems to have more trouble with its base than its enemies.
