Another heckuva job, George.

Chinese leaders they have been trying to get the lead out of diplomacy for some time, but have been distracted by the tons of money being shoveled in by Boy George Bush’s administration and the Republifascists.

So, now they are recalling diplomacy and aiming the lead at followers of the Dalai Lama.

Tibetan monks beaten as police halt dissent

Hundreds of Tibetan Buddhist monks celebrating the award of a US honour to the exiled Dalai Lama have clashed with Chinese police, resulting in an unknown number of injuries and arrests.
Such violence has become unusual in recent years as China has tightened its grip on the region. The entry by police into Drepung monastery, on the outskirts of the Tibetan capital, Lhasa, was a sign of the hard line adopted against any sign of dissent.
Dozens of monks had begun repainting with whitewash the exterior of a hall assigned as the residence of the Dalai Lama inside Drepung to show their joy after the US Congress awarded its highest civilian honour, personally bestowed by President Bush in Washington last week.
Members of the paramilitary People’s Armed Police moved in to stop the monks, who left peacefully to take part in morning prayers. When the monks returned to resume painting the police moved in again, resulting in violent scuffles, according to sources who declined to be identified for fear of repercussions. The Hong Kong newspaper Ming Pao said that the clash involved hundreds of monks.
Three thousand armed police surrounded the sprawling monastery, once the largest in the world with as many as 10,000 monks in residence, and refused to allow anyone to leave. Local sources said that hundreds of monks may have been arrested and several injured. read more

However, a Communist Party spokesman said getting the lead out of diplomacy does not mean copying the Bush Administration and abandoning diplomacy altogether.

“Shiny trinkets should not distract us from true tyranny,” Chinese Communist Party Leader Hu Jintao read from the party’s new Mao’s Gold Book (available at Wal-Mart for $8.97). “Besides, the monks will be very happy making Barbie accessories, dog food and toothpaste in The Party’s new enterprises.”

As for human rights, the CCP says those also are being recalled, as it has found Google and other U.S. information companies more than willing to roll over and play dead to get their treats.

“We found poisonings in the human rights concerns that were being importing,” a party spokesman said at the opening of a new “Commie Copies” store, a new government outlet featuring the latest in pirated Hollywood movies. “We decided it was best for both our customers and us to recall human rights.”

Boy George Bush - Git!Reaction from the White House was swift and strong.

“They can get away with that for real?” asked President Boy George Bush when told of the beatings and arrests of the monks. “I’m sending Cheney over there on a fact-finding mission.

“In the meantime, Cuba’s Communist presence is a continuing concern to us, due to its real and present danger terrorisming us,” the president said. “The Chinese are our friends, good Commies, providing us with cheap, low-quality imports - while putting up trade barriers against most our major exports and simply stealing others. It’s the Sino-American way.
“So what if we gave some guy an award? It’s not like it’s a real medal, it came from Congress, after all,” he snorted and cackled at the same time. “Besides, I understand the Dolly Llama is one of Mattel’s biggest sellers and I was pleased to meet the little sucker who designed it, even though he does dress funny.”
