Texas Democratic Women of Collin County is working hard to get out the vote for the March primary. The group has set up an office and is asking for volunteers from all walks of life and localities.
“While these activities are sponsored by TDWCC, we welcome and need the support of men, non-members, and people from other counties,” says Kelly Drill, TDWCC Get Out the Vote coordinator.
The campaign is outlined in full at the TDWCC website.
First, the group is asking for volunteers ready to hit the ground running in advane of the primary. The group already has many different GOTV activities planned.
“During the three weeks leading up to the March 4th Primary we have 15 different GOTV activities and we need lots of volunteers,” says Ms. Drill.
To keep this effort humming, the TDWCC need contributions and loans of office equipment and supplies. The group has a wish list set up on its website.
Finally, everyone is invited to join in on the “A Call A Day” Club, “a call a day keeps the Republicans away”. Club members will commit to making 30 calls from there home during the month they agree to participate.
“Calls can be made in one sitting (approximately 1 hour) or spread out over several days depending on your schedule,” says Ms. Drill. “All callers will be given a script and instructions.”
