Michael Burgess, surprise me for once
(not holding my breath)

February 13th, 2008 · No Comments · Bush, Democrats, GOP Lies, GOP Whores, John Cornyn, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Ken Leach, Michael Burgess, Texas, U.S. House of Representatives

Just sent to Rep. Michael Burgess, (R-TX 26)

Dear Rep. Burgess:

If someone breaks the law, you “tough on crime” types say, “Tough, should have known better”.
That is, unless it is one of your own. In that case, as has been show so many times in the Bush Regime, pardons, immunities, and all sorts of forgiveness pours out of official channels.
I urge you not to vote for any version of the Protect America Act that grants retroactive immunity for telecom companies that helped the government illegally spy on American citizens.
These companies should be held responsible for their actions.
In reality, I fully expect you to join Sen.’s Cornyn and Hutchison in this vote. Just as they did, you will proudly don your brown shirt and shoot your arm up and out to vote “jawohl!” for more criminal acts against U.S. citizens.
If anyone ever doubted it, we see the true interest of you and yours is the welfare of the corporations and the ruling class at the expense of the rights of the common man.
Why is it that it’s just your opponents who should not fear anything if they have done nothing wrong? Why does this not apply to the telecommunications companies? Why does this not apply to the White House? Why does this not apply to you?

Ken Please, vote for Ken Leach for Congress.
Give Texas’ 26th Congressional District the representation it desperately needs.
For too long, the area has been represented by a lockstep Bush follower and demagogue.
The current congressman follows the rants. raves and orders of the far right, to the detriment of what’s left of his middle class constituents, helping to create the growing number of working poor in his district.

This message is not endorsed or paid for by Ken Leach for Congress.
