July 23, 2008 Dear Friend, Please keep our friends and neighbors in South Texas in your prayers as they battle Hurricane Dolly. The Austin American Statesman reports that Dolly “slammed into the South Texas coast Wednesday with punishing rain and winds of 100 mph, blowing down signs, peeling off roofs and knocking out power to thousands,” and Governor Perry has named 14 Texas counties disaster areas. It will take the collective will and prayers of all Texans to help them through this, but I know that we will.
