What's driving you crazy?

In my hands

Posted on | 1 January 2010 | 1 Comment

In one hand, I have a fresh, wet, clay tablet.  My other hand, the right one to be specific, holds a freshly-sharpened stylus.  The seemingly easy job before me is to fill the tablet before it dries, marking the end of the time for my task.

It is easy enough to fill if all I want to do is finish and cast it away.  I only get one at a time.  If I wish to fill the tablet with ideas, thoughts and records I might wish to revisit or pass along to others, it will take some thought.   I also must bear in mind the clay is drying whilst I contemplate or simply dally.

It can be as simple or as difficult as I care to make it; being careless or overly careful is up to me.
